I think this makes us all feel nervous, but I've supported the idea of acknowledging mistakes for a long time. You can't avoid mistakes without examining the ones you've already made.

Thanks for the anecdote. Seeing the NYT photo makes me realize I never pay any attention to the FSE when we go to section. Good luck with FP residency. I'm posting some posts about call nights I had during residency over the next few weeks. You might be interested, but I certainly hope your program is saner than mine was.

Thanks for that link. While I was a resident - not my patient - we left a hemostat inside a patient during a c-section. We still keep in the conference room as a reminder to GET THE POST-OP XRAY IN OBESE PATIENTS!
